Recipe: Stir-Fried Beef and Tomatoes+++

Stir Fried Beef and Tomatoes
















Ingredients:
Beef Skirt Steak 3/4lb
Tomatoes 2
Yellow Onion 1 small
Green Onion 1 spring
Cooking Oil 3-4 Tsp

Beef Marinate:

  1. Soy Sauce 1 Tsp
  2. Cooking Wine 1 Tsp
  3. White Pepper 1 dash
  4. Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
  5. Mix well before adding the following
  6. Corn Starch 1 tsp and Water 1 tsp
  7. Mix well before adding the following
  8. Egg White 1
Seasoning:
Soy Sauce 1 Tsp
Dark Soy Sauce 2 Tsp
Oyster Sauce 1 Tsp
Cooking Wine 1 Tsp
Sugar 1 Tsp
White Pepper 1 dash
Sesame Oil 1/2 tsp

Methods:

  1. Cut onion and tomatoes (skin off is optional) into bite-size, clean and diced green onion
  2. Cut beef into bite-size across the grain
  3. Add and mix all seasoning for beef and set aside for 20 minutes
  4. Mix seasoning for stir fired use
  5. Add 3 Tsp of oil into a frying pan over medium-high heat
  6. Add beef into seared both sides for approximately 1 minute and remove from pan and set aside
  7. Add onion in the pan to stir-fried for 1 minutes and add tomatoes into pan
  8. Stir-fried the onion and tomatoes for approximate 2 minutes or until tomatoes are seared with some brown color
  9. Add the seasoning into the pan to mix and add the beef back into stir-fried for another 1 minute or until the sauce is bubbling and thicken to your likeliness
  10. Dish up and serve
Notes:

To remove tomato skin
-Before cutting the tomatoes into bite-size, use a knife to cut a cross on top and bottom of tomatoes
-Boil a small pot of water, add the tomatoes in when water is boiling
-Turn off the heat and cover with lid for about 1-2 minutes
-Remove the lid and tomatoe skin curls on at cutting places
-Rinse tomatoes in cold water and peel skin off

Beef Marinate
-Use hand to incorporate the seasoning into beef, mix for about 1 minute
