PLU code is mostly 4-digit and they are mostly traditional grown but not necessary non-Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) because they are not required to identified what is GMO.

GMO produce is 5-digit long and starting with 8

Organic produce is 5-digit long as well but starting with 9

I had been reading and seeing plenty of information about LC from professional and the fans.
